This Privacy Policy explains how DictAll ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our macOS voice-to-text application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

DictAll is designed to minimize data collection. We do NOT:

• Collect or store your voice recordings
• Access or store your transcribed text
• Collect personal information or create user profiles
• Use analytics, tracking, or telemetry
• Require account creation or registration
• Store your API keys on our servers
• Have access to your usage history

3. Information Processed Locally

The following information is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us:

You have full control over this data and can delete it at any time by removing the configuration files from your system.

4. Third-Party Services

DictAll integrates with third-party speech-to-text services to perform transcription. When you use DictAll, your voice recordings are sent directly to the service provider you have selected:

OpenAI (Whisper API)

• Your audio is sent to OpenAI servers for transcription
• OpenAI privacy policy applies: openai.com/privacy
• Audio data is processed according to OpenAI data usage policies

ElevenLabs (Scribe API)

• Your audio is sent to ElevenLabs servers for transcription
• ElevenLabs privacy policy applies: elevenlabs.io/privacy
• Audio data is processed according to ElevenLabs data usage policies

5. Audio Data Handling

When you record audio using DictAll:

• Audio is temporarily stored in your system temporary directory
• Audio is transmitted directly to your selected speech-to-text provider
• Audio files are automatically deleted from your device immediately after transcription
• We never receive, access, or store your audio recordings

6. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
• API keys are stored locally on your device only
• No data is transmitted to our servers
• Temporary audio files are deleted immediately after use
• The app runs entirely on your local machine

7. Children Privacy

DictAll does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The app does not collect personal information from any users. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to a third-party service through this app, please contact that service provider directly.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete local data: Remove configuration and history files from your Mac at any time
• Choose providers: Select which speech-to-text service to use
• Revoke API access: Delete or regenerate your API keys through the provider dashboard
• Disable history: Clear your transcription history at any time within the app
• Uninstall: Remove the app and all associated local files

9. Data Retention

• Audio recordings: Deleted immediately after transcription (typically within seconds)
• Local configuration: Retained until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Transcription history: Retained locally until you clear it or uninstall the app

We do not retain any data as we do not collect any data.

10. International Users

DictAll can be used worldwide. Since we do not collect personal data, there are no cross-border data transfers by us. However, when you use third-party services (OpenAI, ElevenLabs), your data may be processed in countries where those services operate. Please review their respective privacy policies for details.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
